To get Learner's Licence

Form No. 1 and 2 to be filled. Medical certificate given in the form no. 1 is required in case of more than 50 years age of the applicant.

One copy of passport size photograph

Age proof – School Leaving Certificate/ Passport/ PAN card/ 10th S.S.C. credit certificate/ S.S.C. examination’s receipt/ Birth Certificate, Bonafied Student’s Certificate. ( Any one of them in original for verification and one photocopy to be attached)

Address proof – electricity bill/ BSNL phone bill/ voter’s ID card/ LIC policy and latest receipt/corporation tax bill/ gas connection bill. ( Any one of them in original for verification and one photocopy to be attached).

If none of above is there then – electricity bill with lease document or possession letter or Index copy/ ration card/ appointment letter of a job or transfer letter from employer/ bank passbook. ( Any two or three subordinate documents in original for verification and one photocopy to be attached).

Note : To get first time learner’s licence computer test is to be given in some cities. Once applicant has any licence, no computer test is to be given and only local licence in original to verify and photocopy to be attach is required. No other evidences are required.

R.T.O. Fee Rs.30/- for single learner’s licence and Rs.25/- for computer test or oral test fee. Add Rs.30/- for additional class of vehicles. Rs.30/- for those who have the any one licence.(Test is exempted so no fee is to be paid).

To get Driving Licence

Form No. 4 and Computer form to be filled for the first licence with passport size photograph. The photocopy of age proof, address proof and original learner’s licence is to be attached.

Form no. 8 and Computer form to be filled if having any one local licence and want to apply for additional class of vehicles along with the original driving and learner’s licence and one photocopy to be attached.

If the driving licence is issued from any other R.T.O. than local, N.O.C. from that R.T.O. and local address proof will also be required along with above forms.

R.T.O. Fee Rs.200/- for smart card licence and Rs.50/- for driving test fee. Add Rs.50/- for additional class of vehicles’ test fee.

Renewal of Driving Licence

Form No. 9, Form No. 1 and Computer form to be filled along with the original local licence. Medical certificate given in the form no. 1 is required in case of more than 50 years age of the applicant. Passport size photograph to paste on Form 9 or on medical certificate if applicable.

For the driving licence from other region or state – N.O.C. from original licensing authority and local address proof will also be required.

R.T.O. Fee Rs.250/- for renewal of licence. If the license is expired for more than one year late fee Rs.100/- will be charged per fractional of a year. After 5 years of the expiry date the licence will be cancelled and learner’s licence process will be required.

If the driving licence is issued from any other R.T.O. than local, N.O.C. from that R.T.O. and local address proof will also be required along with above forms.

Duplicate Driving Licence

Form L.L.D. (Computer Form and passport size photograph will also be required for book type licence holder)

Photocopy of the licence or perfect number is essential. In case of smart card license, Date of Birth and Year of issue of the licence is essential.

Duplicate driving licence can be available at original issuing authority only.

Change of Name, Address or any corrections:

Simple application along with computer form to be filled. Proof of change of name or address or other corrections is to be attached. If the licence is issued from other than the local, N.O.C. will be required from the original authority.

To Get Two Separate Licences in to Single license

Simple application along with computer form to be filled.

Both the licences are to be attached.

If any licence is issued from other than the local, N.O.C. will be required from the original authority.

R.T.O. Fee Rs. 200/- + Penalty Rs. 100/-(minimum)

To Get An International Driving Permit

Form for an International permit and Form No. 1 with medical certificate (given at back side)(Pest passport size photograph on it) to be filled. Driving licence of LMV with local address, Passport, Visa, Air Ticket (all in original for verification and one photocopy of all documents to be attached) and 3 copies of passport size photographs to pest on the form.
